RED HILL FIBER MILL & ALPACA FARM PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL ALPACA FARM DAYS
On September 25-26, 2021 alpaca owners from across North America will celebrate the 15th annual National Alpaca Farm Days. More information about this national event can be found at https://www.alpacainfo.com/alpaca-farm-days.
Participating alpaca farms will welcome the public, while following state and local safety regulations, to meet their alpacas. Attendees will learn more about these inquisitive, unique animals, the luxury fiber they produce, and why the alpaca business is perfect for environmentally conscious individuals.
Red Hill Fiber Mill & Alpaca Farm will welcome guests from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm for tours of the fiber mill and alpaca farm tours in conjunction with the national Alpaca Day event sponsored by the Alpaca Owner’s Association. During the tour, families will meet and interact with the alpacas that live on the farm and enjoy an informative presentation on the animal’s history and sustainability. Inside the mill, they will learn what each of the machines is used for and see examples of fiber processing in action.
The Farm Store will be open for shopping and offers a variety of alpaca yarn, roving and batts, which includes fiber that was processed from the animals on the farm. With new fall inventory in hand shawls, socks, stuffed animals, and other unique gifts will also be available. Vendors will be available onsite, including Meat Slingers BBQ Truck offering delicious barbecue favorites for attendees to enjoy.
