Wild Sage Wool: A Partnership Woven with Color, Craft, and Heart

Some projects start with a single spark. Others start with a shared love of fiber, a mutual respect for craft, and an unstoppable desire to create something special. Wild Sage Wool is one of those projects.

Born from a collaboration between Red Hill Fiber and Lindsey F of Indigo Guinea Fiber, Wild Sage Wool brings together the best of both worlds: exceptional fiber sourced with care, masterful spinning, and colorways that feel like pure magic.

Our journey begins with Mountain Meadow Wool, a mill in Wyoming that partners with ranches in their region to source high-quality, traceable wool. Every fleece they select has a story — one that’s rooted in the land, the farmers, and the animals who make it all possible. It’s sustainable, local, and deeply connected to the community it comes from.

Once the fiber makes its way to Red Hill Fiber, we get to work adding our own touch — including a hint of sparkle with firestar that gives Wild Sage Wool its signature shimmer. This is where the yarn’s personality starts to take shape: soft, durable, and ready to shine on your needles or hook.

Then comes Lindsey. If yarn could dream, it would dream in her colors. Her ability to envision palettes, layer hues, and bring out unexpected harmonies is nothing short of artistry. Whether it’s the gentle fade of a sunset, the playful pop of wildflowers, or the cozy tones of autumn, Lindsey’s collections turn yarn into a canvas of endless inspiration.

Wild Sage Wool is more than just a yarn line — it’s a meeting point for craft, collaboration, and creativity. Every skein is the result of farmers, millers, spinners, and dyers working in harmony. It’s yarn you can feel good about, both in your hands and in your heart.

We can’t wait to see what you create with it!
